Understanding Trademark Renewal:
A trademark once registered expires after 10 years. To continue with the trademark, a business/ owner of the work has to renew it, which can be done indefinite times. It can be done anytime between 6 months before the expiry date and 6 months after the expiry date. In between, if you forget to renew, the Trademark registrar sends you a notice about the expiry. Even after that, the registrar release the name of trademark due for a removal, in a Trade Mark Journal. You can pay a fine and restore your trademark with 6 to 12 months of expiry to maintain your unique identity. You will require professional help for the restoration process to ensure you hold the rights to your work in the form of a trademark.
